standard wind ensemble, featuring the flute section. The
work was commissioned by the Teays Valley High School
Wind Ensemble, Ashville, Ohio. Reasonable brass ranges;
challenging flute parts; full percussion section.
Various instruments are featured in short solo passages.
A portion of the rhapsody is in 12/8, presenting
opportunity for educational enlightenment regarding
compound meter. (Grade 4+) |
